Almost sick...

I was absent from office yesterday. Thought I would have gotten sick on Wednesday evening itself but I was wrong. I made it to the Cross Functional Teambuilding event on Thursday. Was practically a half zombie there :P brother downloaded this new series Heroes back and I watched it out of boredom and because I wanted to find out what’s so good about the movie that it won the Golden Globe Awards and not 24! Turned out, I was hooked to it.

Heroes is my top current favorite now *blush*

The series told of a story about ordinary people across the globe who possess extraordinary powers. Powers like being able to fly, being able to be someone else, being able to hear people’s thoughts, being able to stop time and teleport, being able to see and paint the future and having a power that makes one invincible. Watch how those people discover their extraordinary powers and learn how to use them. It was a truly great show. The japanese guy Hiro is so cute and by cute I didn’t mean good looking or anything but his attitude and appearance :D makes you want to pinch those chubby cheeks LOL
I think it’s showing on Astro now if I’m not mistaken and I might have been a few more episodes further already coz I was busy with the movie marathon for the past 2 nights :P
Anyway if you get the chance to catch it, do it! Thumbs up for the show ;)

Ermm I was at the part where I said I was practically a half zombie during my teambuilding yes… there were 25 ppl there including myself and well, attending the teambuilding is part of the plan to take an absence from work :D its like the time to have fun and play games. We had the normal ice breaking introduction, some games which required teamwork, some architectural planning and project presentation and well free breakfast, lunch and tea which sucked so bad.

I was feeling ok until the afternoon game where we had to play under the hot glaring sun =_=” The canggih name is called “Nitro Crossing” but more popularly known as monkey crossing where we had to swing from one side to the other side on a rope. A rather stupid game I would say but we have to do it nevertheless. Teambuilding ma… but this is not the most stupid part yet, the most stupid part was we have to stand under the sun waiting for people to cross from the other side. Those who crossed earliest suffered the most as we have the wait under the hot sun :S luckily they gave us a cap else I think I would have fainted at the sudden exposure under the sun then the sudden cooling air cond in the room. Hot cold hot cold.. can get sick or not you say?

By 3pm after the game I had a major headache. Sleepiness + headache… not a good feeling. Had to suffer another 2 hours before we can finally go off and I was so tempted to go aerobics after that but feared I’d faint halfway so decided to drive home instead. I made it home just on time to shower and rested a little before I dozed off, skipping my dinner from 8 pm till like 1 something in the morning :P woke up, had something to eat, watched another 1 or 2 episodes of Heroes then slept again.

Sleeping is the cure for a lot of things :D I’m not completely a 100% myself today but much better than yesterday. I still feel that “sickness” is just around the corner and it’s just the matter of time my immune system weakens. Oh well, it’s almost Chinese New Year, where the weather is hotter than ever and people start getting sick and no one wants to get sick on festive season, no? :)

So it’s time to drink a lot of water or preferably “leung sui” to cool your body down and take care of that diet, avoid heaty and fried food, try to minimize the exposure under the sun and remember your vitamins ;)
