Free movies verdict

Lately I’ve been too busy too blog. For one, my workload is piling up high, especially after performance management session, where I had to set higher expectations of myself.
And I need to get my work done before the shipping of the product coz there’s still a lot going on after that, and have you ever been in this situation that you fix something and you then break something else? Well well, isn’t that the norm? It’s just so frustrating that everytime when I think I’m done, and I modified something, it breaks something else and I just gotta rootcause it all over again. Bah, I’m just so tired of all this and I can’t wait for all this to be over soooooonnnn!

Two, I’ve been too busy being a cheapo :P Yea, too busy going to QB to catch free movies hahaha. Well if it’s free then why not?!

I was telling my friends, I’ve been to QB so many times for this week itself :$ On Monday itself I went there 3 times! Once in the morning to queue for the tickets, then went home and again to the cinema in the afternoon to catch one show and AGAIN at night to watch another show :P talking about movie marathon huh.

The first show I watched was Cicakman =_=” i know! Tell me about it :S thanks to my brother for his oh-so-wise suggestion. I actually told myself to give it a try, saying it shouldn’t be that bad since his friend claimed it was good.

And it turned out, I was wrong to even give it a chance. It was bad bad bad! It sucked so bad I fell asleep AT LEAST twice in the cinema. The main actor was just too much, too silly and too idiotic to be a hero, don’t know why they would want to portray a man who’s supposedly a hero like that. :S And the villain, whoever his name was (I never liked that guy anyway coz he’s much to gay to my liking) his laugh was simply irritable. He laughed practically after every dialogue ok…. It was tolerable in the beginning but it happened the whole ENTIRE show. At one point, I got so irritated that I feel like asking him to shut the fuck up but of course, I can’t do that. It’s either I stay or I walk out. And God knows how I managed to stay the whole show. I’d rather watch Dukun anytime. No wonder I fell asleep. Oh well, it was free anyway and it certainly felt good to sleep in an almost blank cinema, new and clean with free air cond :D so I’m not complaining except I’m never gonna watch this kind of local shows again unless a lot of ppl gave REALLY good review about it.

The movie was so bad that when I met a colleague in the office the next day, he too complained that the movie sucked. Up to a point where he heard a little boy telling his father that he wanted to leave. Even kids can’t tolerate it so what say you, huh? Then he said that Cicakman2 is coming out and even if it's a free show he wouldn't even want to go see it.

Hmm.. bad judgement, shit happens.. yea yea…

The second show that I watched on the SAME day was Eragon, well that was much better compared to the first one, ha, obviously. The story was pretty straightforward, with not many characters to be confused of in the first place like LOTR, LOL which is good considering my mum often got lost in movies with many characters. She’s just bad in distinguishing who is who coz they all look the same to her especially in movies where the setting took place long time ago. This time, she didn’t fell asleep that often, only maybe at the ending haha which was an improvement compared to the time when we took her to see The Prestige. Man did she snore in there : =_=” oh well, she ain’t heavy, she’s my mum :P

Brother had to queue up for at least an hour for the third free show we caught last night, which was Casino Royale, yea yea I know, old show and I still yet to watch it. Come on, I just don’t think Daniel Craig was worth it k? And I’m glad I didn’t waste my money paying for the movie either coz it’s just… pretty flat.

Ok, so he has the body but what’s with the ears, man? The ears! I can’t stand the ears and he’s practically emotionless the whole movie :S I think he needed extra acting classes lor :( I like “well defined” men, (a bit hard to explain what well defined means coz there are a lot of entry criterias :P) and he has a few of the qualities but urgghh.. the ears turn me off big time LOL

The girl? Nah.. I’ll choose Denise Richards anytime.
Well, at least the action packed movie kept my mum awake the whole entire show and Dad said it was her record hahaha


This week is going to be a new personal record for going to the cinema the most times in one week. And probably most watched movies in a week too. I’m going again tomorrow night to watch

DeathNote 2! Ha, yes :D I can’t wait can’t wait can’t wait. Anticipating a good ending of the show which I hope won’t leave me hanging :D And I loooovvveee the anime as well coz the plot of the story is simply brilliant!
