The Incredible Hulk
was INCREDIBLE
I never thought I'd came walking out of the cinema going "Wow, not bad, I actually kinda like it!"
One of my bad habits when I go to the movies is that I tend to fall asleep. And I can tell (from my own point of view only ok) if a movie a nice or not judging from whether or not I fall asleep in the cinema haha... ok I know you'll go -___-""
It's true.. Ironman was superb and I didn't fall asleep watching it, Narnia and Indiana Jones sucked so bad I had a couple of visits to Lala land and back, Kungfu Panda... well I was "fishing" for a little while at a particular scene but the rest was still good. And this! This one I didn't fall asleep. I thought every scene, every take had a meaning and it gets the juices flowing. This is the effect of a good movie editting.
I wasn't really all into Edward Norton being THE Hulk, reason being.. he's not built enough for the role (even the villain has a nicer body but face wise... yea, he'll suffice as the supporting cast) but the whole story was just... let's just say I'm really not disappointed at all :)
Liv Tyler, my did she ballooned! Perhaps she hasn't successfully lose her post pregnancy fat yet. Guess that's why they made her wear wraparound and trenchcoats a lot in the movie.
Bad selection of wraparound, they should just stick to one dark solid color and throw in a belt to give her a defined waist instead of patterns. Bla, what am I now? A wardrobe stylist?
The Hulk at his boiling point. This one sure fail MTV Boiling Point kau kau. A bit bit he will smash the patrol cars into two and throw it at you. Not someone you'd like to step on his tail :p

Do you know who I think SHOULD be The Hulk??????
Josh Harnett!
The creator must have been inspired by Josh. Dont look at the mouth, but the ruffled hair and sepet chinese eyes, the eyebrows....
The CGI has definitely improved ALOT since the first one by Ang Lee. I didn't really enjoy the first one that much. I thought the Hulk's body was too greeny and too smooth to be a fighter, they should plant some hairs on the chest :P The new Hulk was more.. ermm what's the word.. beat up? The skin was more roughen up with veins and the fight with the villian was simply uber cool! I kept thinking of Josh Harnett everytime I see Hulk :S
I realized there are a lot of "elements" from other movies in this show. There's this King Kong scene where Hulk saved the girl, a mixture of Fantastic Four and Alien that gives you this
This is what happen when The Thing (from Fantastic Four) and Alien mate, meet their offspring The Alien Thing
and some Spidey moves as Hulk jumped from one building to another. How ironic is it right?
And they certainly wrapped up the movie good with the appearance of this guy. I knew it the moment the name Stark Industries came up somewhere in the movie! Add Iron Man to the list.
He really really really looked so good. *drool*
So now I wonder.... are all the Marvel Heroes coming together now for a big box office movie? I'm definitely fastening my seat belt and wait for the explosion to come ;)
Rating : 8/10
