Sex and the city

Was awesooooommmmeeee…

I loved it to bits! Each and every scene filled me with awe. From the penthouse to the designer shoes to the designer outfits to the girls, oh gosh, is it me or do everyone of them looked hotter than ever?

I went without expectations. I didn’t even bother to read the synopsis online. I just knew I have to watch it and so watch it I did. It didn’t disappoint me but then again with this movie, it’s very hard to disappoint me for I have been an avid loyal fan of SATC since day 1.

Spoiler ahead~!

This time around, Carrie found the 2Ls of her life, Labels and Love. If you watch the last season, she ditched her Russian lover and finally got back together with Big (my my have they gone a long way!) Although they’re being very comfortable with the way they are, Carrie brought up the big M question. While every girl/woman dreams of the perfect proposal, their so called “grown up” proposal took place in Big’s kitchen.

Big, having suffered from 2 failed marriages was “okay” with marrying Carrie but expects nothing fancy on the wedding. Since Carrie is getting married for the first time, you have to understand if the poor girl wants her wedding to be something big, fancy and elegant. Afterall she’s New York’s famous style-maven journalist, and when you’re that well known, your wedding has to be one of the biggest, most posh wedding of the year right?

Big sizzles big time!

But that’s not exactly what Big had in mind. Poor guy had the jitters from his previous failed marriages. He thought he was doomed and cursed with marriages. He was insecure, can you imagine? Someone as big and successful as him? Anyway.. yes, he ditched her on their wedding day. He didn’t think he can go through it again. He needs to be sure that it’s only bout the two of them and she failed to give him the assurance he needed. So he ditched, she got really mad and that’s the end of everything.

The 3 24/7 great friends of hers took her to Mexico where their honeymoon was supposed to be and they had the most fun time there. The rest of the movie sees Carrie dealing with her loss and disappointment, how her newly employed personal assistant changed her views and perception towards love and life.

What happened to the 3 other bitches friends?

Samantha broke up with her younger hot stud because she’s too selfish and wants everything to be about her and only her. You guess right, she can’t stay loyal to Smith and she wants to be f***ing around, no monogamy for her!

Miranda’s marriage to Steve suffered due to commitment to their son AND her fulltime career, hence no personal time together. Steve went out of the line cheating on her once and due to the fact that he can’t live with the lie, he confessed. She was mad at him the entire show but things led to happy ending.

Charlotte! My perfect woman inspiration, the girl who leads the almost perfect life. She has now adopted a really cute asian baby girl and as if life can’t be more perfect for her, she finally got herself pregnant! Yes it’s a girl!

What happens to Carrie in the end?

She got married to Big (again) in a low key event surrounded by people she loved and loved her. :)

No no one died in the movie for sure (what’s with all the fuss I heard bout Big dying?)

For more detailed spoiler read this.

All in all, I can’t think of a better ending or wrapup to the series. I loved it so much I can watch it again and again me thinks :) Just the wardrobe itself is enough to make go craaazzzyyy.. Yes if you’re a chick, it’s a MUST WATCH. If you’re a guy, your girlfriends won’t thank you enough to go watch with them, I’m pretty sure you’ll enjoy it in the process as well.

Rating : 8/10 (I’M LOVIN’ IT!)

The next movie marathon was Dark Knight...

What do I think bout it?

Sorry can't elaborate much because...

I fell asleep in the cinema

Hey there are ABUNDANT of reviews on this movie everywhere else and I'm pretty sure you don't need my honest opinion here. I slept not because the movie was boring, because I was tired. My movie marathon of SATC at 9.50pm then continue with Dark Knight at 12am, I wasn't as *tough* as I thought I was :p

5 people bitched:

Regarding the tough bit : Getting old is a bitch huh? LOL

You're the only person I know who has said SATC was good. Everyone else said it was too typical and expected. Not bitchy enough. And that they should just stick to being a TV series.

Wine and cheese is more refined as they grow older. Just like men. :D Nobody said wine and cheese get stronger with age, some just spoil!
